Context and Problem

Many small and medium factories spend a lot on electricity but still do not really know where that energy is going. For example, a factory might get a monthly bill of ₹1,00,000 but has no idea: - which machine is consuming the most energy - where energy is being wasted, or - what small change could reduce costs In fact, businesses without proper systems lose around 10 to 15 percent of energy due to inefficiencies. Most existing energy tools are built for large companies. They are expensive, complex, and require experts to use. As a result, smaller businesses are left with guesswork.

Approach & Solution

AEIX was designed as a simple and affordable energy intelligence system for these businesses. The idea was straightforward, to show businesses exactly where energy is being used and wasted, in a way they can understand and act on. Instead of complicated software, the platform brings everything into: - One dashboard - Clear insights, and - Simple recommendations So even a factory owner without technical knowledge can take decisions.

How it works?

The system uses sensors and energy meters installed across machines and processes. Here is a simple example: 1. A machine is running longer than needed 2. The system detects unusual energy usage 3. It flags it on the dashboard 4. It suggests where energy can be saved All the data is collected in real time and shown in a single dashboard. The platform also uses AI to answer questions like: - where is energy being wasted - what is causing the problem - which fix will save the most money It also creates verified energy records that businesses can use for audits and sustainability reporting.

Impact and Outcome

The research and validation behind AeiX showed clear gaps in the market: 1. Around 64% of businesses only rely on electricity bills to track usage 2. Very few use structured tools 3. Over 70% have high monthly energy costs, making savings important After introducing the solution, the expected impact is: - Better visibility into energy usage - Reduction in unnecessary energy costs - Faster decision making - Improved readiness for sustainability regulations The project has already: 1. Validated its idea with real businesses 2. Won recognition at IRIS National Fair, and is 3. Preparing for pilot deployments with manufacturing companies
